Who We Are:

Hi, we’re Robin & Will and we would like to tell you about our journey to Beau's Backyard and Friends.

It all started with a Border Collie puppy named Jade that found her way into our lives. After Jade came into our lives, we needed a place for her to spend quality time while we both worked. That’s when we came across Beaus Backyard and Melinda Hodson. This was just the kind of setting and atmosphere we were looking for. It had all the amenities and care that Jade was used to at home and was a small enough facility that she got personal attention from Melinda as well. Throughout Jades time here Robin and Melinda became friends. When Melinda decided to sell Beaus Backyard, we were blessed to be in a place in our life where we were able to purchase Beaus Backyard.

We felt like this was a good fit for both of us due to our backgrounds in 4H, Horses, and livestock. Robin and I both grew up training and showing horses and taking care of large-scale horse boarding and training facilities. We have both been active in the 4H programs as Leaders, Coaches, and Mentors.

It is our love for the animals that led us to this point in our life and we have been blessed to carry on the legacy of Beaus Backyard that was started by the late Jim Hodson and his wife Melinda. We intend to keep up the type of care Jade received while she was here. We felt a lot more at ease knowing Jade was treated as one of the family during her stays and we will make your dogs feel like they are of part of our family as well.
